How to Get Your Dream Job

If your life pleases God, he makes your enemies favor you and prefer you above others. Walking with God demands that you yield yourself unreservedly to God for his use. This is the best thing a believer can do in order to experience divine favor from God and be preferred by God and man in times of great need.

“When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him”

Proverbs 16:7

The first battle a child of God needs to fight is the battle of total withdrawal from the devil and total surrender to God. If you want to get a job that would please God, then you have to fight to keep God’s Word and obey him in all things.

The ifs…

First off, every opportunity is not an opportunity. What is God saying about it? Does God want you there? Does he want you to work there? We often jump at juicy offers without enquiring about them from God.

As frustrating as unemployment may be, you do not need a well-paid job that would subject you to wickedness, deception, slander, conspiracy, strife, criticism, betrayal, and contention. You need God’s grace to work in some places.

If God really wants you to be somewhere, He gives you the grace you need to do the job well. It is better to get a job where the presence of God and His grace will be enough to sustain you than to jump into the territory of devil and his hosts. Put all your trust in God when you are getting ready for an interview. He will do anything for His child who believes in Him.

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes”

Psalms 118:8-9

Getting your dream Job

Anything the devil gives; he equally takes back with interest and as such, godly person who wishes to work with unbelievers, proud and violent men must be ready to carry his cross. This is because they will rise against you no matter how best you perform in your interview or job. They recompense evil for good and speak evil in place of the truth.

When you attend any job interview and they require you to do things that contradict God’s Word, refuse such jobs because they are not meant for you. It is better to give up such jobs than to give up on God. However, if the job were yours, no such demands would be attached to it. Do not exchange your faith with anything in this world. There are ungodly men and enemies of faith who go from place to place to seduce people into evil jobs.

If you get a job through unrighteous means, you will be expected to sustain that job through so many other unrighteous means. It is a very perilous thing to dine with Satan because you will pay with your soul. Hence, do not accept any job that demands you to commit sin as a requirement because it will eventually take you to hell fire.

What happens?

When you acquire a job through evil means, God’s presence cannot be there to fight your battles for you. You can only succeed by God’s grace and without that, you will certainly fail.

“But the LORD hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day

Deuteronomy 4:20

As a result, many Christians are under severe oppression in many offices. They blame God and quote His promises in vain. Some have backslidden and are on their way to hell fire. They have quickly forgotten the means through which they got their jobs. Some forgot how they became busy and abandoned God after getting their jobs. When they had no jobs, they were faithful to God. Now they have one, they have no time for God.

“Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me”

Proverbs 1:24-28

And so…

The reason why oppression, injustice, poverty, denials of fundamental human rights, slavery, afflictions and humiliation are on the increase is that these victims have refused to embrace God. Those few that claim they are on God’s side do not know how to pray the right prayers.

Devil can oppose you as you search for jobs. You may even stay longer than necessary in the labor market. However, if you would get a job approved by God at the right time, no one can remove you or oppress you and go scot-free. Your duty is to prayerfully get a job without compromise and see how God will prosper you and defend you to the end.

You have to be prayerful in order to deal with these areas to get the job that would lead you into divine rest on earth.
