What Is the Python Spirit?

The snake has always been a repulsive creature from the beginning. It has always been associated with evil, starting with the deception of Eve, so it is not surprising that, till now, that is still the case. There are so many species of snakes, the python being one of them.

A Python is a monstrous serpent, a large oviparous snake with a forked narrow tongue which they repeatedly flick out. As they flick their tongues out, the ignorant may think they are just playing. They use it to sense odors or things around them. This means that their tongues serve as an organ of smell.

The Python Spirit

Python serpents are trusted agents of the devil, acting more or less like the devil in nature, and they often possess people. The Python spirit, alongside the cobra and serpent, are all messengers of Leviathan, who is in charge of all fearful animals both in the water, air, and land. They always seek to control people wherever they are, which is why anyone possessed by the python spirit is never submissive, but constantly causes trouble wherever they are in order to divert divine orders.

As a believer, you can be attacked by the devil with or without sin, and if you do nothing in terms of praying and possibly fasting, the devil will illegally stay in your life to torment you. Though he has no right to remain because old things are supposed to have passed away, he can, through your ignorance, stay put, and until you resist him in prayer, he will never leave on his own.

Characteristics of the Python Spirit

  • He limits his victims to a certain level spiritually and physically.
  • His victims do not read the Bible or interpret it very well because they oppose anything spiritual.
  • His victims operate in falsehood and produce false spiritual gifts and miracles. They imitate God’s actions and deeds.
  • His agents offer unholy fasting and prayers to destroy God’s program in the lives of his children (Zechariah.7: 1-7).
  • He inflicts painful incurable sicknesses and diseases. Such sicknesses cause restlessness, sleeplessness and deep internal turmoil.
  • Python spirit also monitors and causes local wars and bring his victims to untold hardship and painful sufferings.

Therefore, if you must be free of these demonic spirits, you need to draw close to God by confessing your sins, forsaking them, and praying against the devil’s temptations.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

James 4:7- 8
