Long life is a gift from God. He promised to satisfy His children with long life and peace. Besides God, there is no other source of long life and peace. Let no man deceive you, God is the only source of long life.
“That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them”
(Deuteronomy 30:20).
“He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days forever and ever”
(Psalms 21:4).
“For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee”
(Proverbs 3:2).
God wants His children to enjoy healthy living and long life. He does not want you to wallow in sickness and disease, which are from Satan. That is why you need to enter the covenant of healing with God immediately.

Let’s consider Job for instance, Job was perfectly sound in health before the devil visited him and smote him with sores and boils from the sole of his foot to his head.
“7So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown”
(Job 2:7).
“14Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee. 44Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of 10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”
(John 8:44; 10:10; 5:14).
The bible described the devil as a murderer. When God created man, there was no sickness or diseases because God saw that everything that He created was good. However, when devil came, he murdered man’s goodness and health. He stole man’s peace and joy and began to afflict men with sickness and diseases. Devil does not visit people for nothing. His purpose is to kill people’s joy and peace, or steal and destroy the good things that God created for man’s happiness on earth.
Devil’s principal weapon is sin, which he uses to separate us from God, our creator, before attacking our destinies with all manner of problems. However, God has not left us at the mercy of the devil. He sent Christ to destroy the works of the devil. That was why the best advice Christ gave to people was, “Go and sin no more lest a worse thing come unto thee”
(John 5:14).
If you can avoid sin and devil, you will surely live long with sound health. You need good health to fulfill your purpose on earth. However, if you are sick already, receive your healing through the Word of God, in the name of Jesus. Do whatever that is in your power to separate yourself from sin and the devil.
