Delay is not denial. I’m sure you have heard this a lot. Anyone who has attempted to live by faith in the past has undoubtedly run into obstacles. Not everything occurs when we anticipate it to. Nobody will argue with this truth. So, delay is not denial is a term that we use to somewhat motivate ourselves.
But the reality is that not all delays are designed by God. In fact, the majority of delays are demonic. Delays and setbacks are methods that can be used to restrict your movement or progress. They can make you lower your goals and make it hard for you to succeed, move forward in life, or do what you were meant to do. You can experience delays in different areas of your life; academics, work, finance, among others; and once something is pulling you back, you will be forced to pause and wait.

They are designed by the devil to discourage you and ultimately cause you to backslide. Most delays are spiritual assaults that have been planned to prevent you from bringing about God’s purposes and benefits for your life. It is easy to feel discouraged and give up when you experience delays. Delays bring shame and disappointment. The devil goes ahead of you and opposes every good thing set to come your way.
Delay is not denial as long as you remain a child of God. The devil may seem to be succeeding in your life now, but God is at work. He may try to frustrate you by standing in the way of your breakthrough and if you do not resist him, he will resist you. If you wish to overcome these demonic delays, you must engage in prayers to fight the devil.

- I command every satanic limitation in my life to disappear, in the name of Jesus.
- Any power that is delaying the answers to my prayers, die now, in the name of Jesus.
- Any evil hand that is raised against my life, dry up, in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord, deliver my memory from confusion and delay, in the name of Jesus.
- I command my life to move forward forever, in the name of Jesus.
- Any evil personality that is manipulating my destiny, die, in the name of Jesus.
- I command every satanic limitation in my life to disappear, in the name of Jesus.
- O hand of God, take me away from the enemy’s camp, in the name of Jesus.
- Let the power of God deliver me from demonic captivities, in the name of Jesus.
