How to Get Immediate Answers From God

For many people, Christianity is essentially a religion centered on a distant God. Because of this, so many have not come to know him personally as their father. Hence, when they pray, it seems their prayers take ages before they are answered. Thankfully, we can come to him as our father. So, why do you pray if you don’t get immediate answers?

If you knock on a door and it is not opened to you, if you ask but do not receive, if you search but do not find, and if you seek but do not find, you should consider whether the master of the house knows who you are. It would interest you to know that Christians have dominion over the devil if they pray as expected by God. Our master and Lord Jesus Christ conquered the devil on the cross of Calvary, and so must we! When a believer is dead to sin, his prayers will not experience any defeat.

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?  Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?  Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.  For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:  Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.  For he that is dead is freed from sin.  Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:  Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.  For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.  Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.  Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.  For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”

Romans 6:1-14

Therefore, one of the greatest weapons you need in order to pray once and receive answers is to have dominion over sin and satan. With this dominion, you will not be under the harassment of Satan and his agents.

How can you achieve this?

Salvation must first be firmly established in your mind. God wants you to overcome, grow, and completely conform to the exact image of Christ as a Christian. Enthrone Christ in your heart and dethrone the Adamic nature of sin. There must be a distinct separation from the world, and your walk with the Lord must be steady and daily, without compromise.

Abraham’s quality that took his request to God was his response to God’s call of salvation. He was called to leave his country, his kindred, and his father’s house. This call was a call to separate himself from old associations and to go into a new life. In his obedience to God, he prayed against barrenness just once and waited for the manifestation. If you are not living as a consistent Christian, you shouldn’t bother praying and waiting to hear from the true God.

Additionally, you must believe God and his word if you want to pray once and receive the answers. No matter what you see, hear, or feel, you must know that God’s timing is perfect. It should not bring worry, doubt, or anxiety. The devil may seek to oppose you and bring difficulties your way. Nevertheless, you must remain loyal to God in spite of the difficulties. If you must disbelieve anything at all, it should be anything contrary to God’s words. Abraham always believed in God and went about his Lord’s business in obedience to his words. In the end, God blessed him beyond his expectations.

If you live a consistent Christian life, serving God without complaining, no matter the situation, your prayers will be answered in detail. Our Lord Jesus himself has promised you an answer to all your prayers.

“Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them”.

Mark 11:24
