Living in Bondage

The one who binds people is the devil. He seizes every chance he gets to ensnare you. You turn to God when your sins catch up with you and life becomes miserable. So, why would God turn a deaf ear and bind a man?

Bound by God

Those who are bound by God are people who clearly know what is right but still choose to do what is wrong. They are people who openly commit sin willfully and yet refuse to repent. Even in their suffering, they still reject God’s counsel and go ahead to seek prayers for deliverance. Anyone who prays for a person or people whom God has bound is wasting time.

There are people who have decided how to live their lives. They do not want to cooperate with God. They want God’s power, healing, and deliverance, but they hate his counsel. Praying for such people without them turning and repenting from within is a waste (Proverbs 1:28–30). When you are not ready to desist from your evil ways and listen to God’s word, he will never listen to you.

If you desire deliverance but still want to continue in your evil, God may not deliver you. Other groups of people who may not be easily delivered are those who have offended true men of God. Today, old and young people alike are quick to judge, talk, and criticize men if God permits. Some evil people go as far as actively setting men of God up so that they can fall into sin and away from God’s presence. You must be careful how you talk or handle ministers cases.

Ministers who are called by God are accountable to God and not to you. Members who gather to judge a man of God may be struck with an evil load for life unless they truly repent, confess, and restitute.

No Escape

Prayers, fasting alone cannot deliver a person or people that God bound. Many people today are going from one pastor to other great men of God seeking for deliverance when they know that God Himself had bound them. The only way you can receive mercy is if you cry out to God today and truly repent, confess, and sincerely forsake your sins, only then will God begin to hear your prayers.  No matter how bad you are, as long as you are willing to obey God in detail, you will be saved.  All your prayers will be answered as long as you remain faithful to God (2 Chronicles 33:10-13).
