The Fountain of Life

A long and healthy life is undoubtedly the greatest desire of man. Life is a gift. If we could, we would all give our money just to have a long and healthy life. Nevertheless, God doesn’t charge us for the life he gives us. As a matter of fact, he wants his children to enjoy healthy living and a long life. He does not want you to wallow in sickness and disease, which are from Satan.

The devil is the source of strange sicknesses, diseases, and afflictions, and in turn, God is the ultimate source of life, which is why entering into a covenant of healing with God is of utmost relevance. For instance, Job was a perfectly healthy man. He had everything you could possibly think of. He was also a righteous man. Yet the devil went after him and visited him with grave illness. In the process, he lost everything he had, including his family.

7So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown

Job 2:7

Losing the Fountain

The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy, just as he did in the beginning when he murdered man’s goodness and health. He can get through to you through sin. Sin is an open invitation to the devil to come into your life. Sin can open your life to demonic possession and attack with all manner of sickness and diseases.

By now, you already know how sin can affect your life and your relationship with God. When you are separated from God as a result of sin, you are eternally dead. You are no longer under God’s protection and the devil can do with you as he pleases.

Do not be deceived; besides God, there is no other source of long life and peace. He is the only source.

That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them

Deuteronomy 30:20

“He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days forever and ever

Psalms 21:4

Have you sinned and fallen short of the glory of God? You can remedy that by taking the bold step to come back to him and confess, repent, and forsake your sins with all your heart.

“And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye do return unto the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the LORD, and serve him only: and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines. Then the children of Israel did put away Baalim and Ashtaroth, and served the LORD only”

1 Samuel 7:3-4

You need good health to fulfill your purpose on earth. Therefore, as you have taken this bold step today, avoid sin and the devil and decide to serve God only.
