The Truth about the Jezebel Spirit

What is a Jezebel spirit?

A Jezebel spirit is a demonic spirit that takes up residence in a person and causes them to be motivated by sexual desires. Seductive, unrepentant, and destructive are common characteristics. This spirit, like all other Satanic spirits, enjoys causing havoc, but in an unusual fashion.

The term “Jezebel Spirit” is often used to describe someone who employs cunning, deception, and seduction to pull marriages, churches, and other organizations apart. Unlike many other demonic spirits, the Jezebel Spirit is more subtle and wicked. We’ll look at the Jezebel spirit, how to tell if someone you know has one, and how to overcome it.

A Jezebel is also someone who persuades others to accomplish something for her by using sexual persuasion. She’s like a femme fatale, but she’s a lot more cunning. If someone uses seduction to entice a married man or a man of God away from the path of holiness, they are most frequently referred to as a Jezebel.

During her time on Earth, Jezebel embodied evil. She murdered men for their vines and threatened to assassinate one of the few remaining prophets because he preached teachings that she couldn’t stomach.

When someone refers to another individual as a “Jezebel,” they are implying a few things. To begin with, it usually alludes to a person’s dexterity. In the Bible, Jezebel didn’t always undertake the dirty work herself. Instead, she enlisted the help of others to complete the task for her. When a man named Naboth refuses to give the king the land of his ancestors, a vineyard, Jezebel prepares letters in her husband’s name to have Naboth slain so that she and her husband can get the vineyard. (1 Kings 21)

So she wrote letters in Ahab’s name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters unto the elders and to the nobles that were in his city, dwelling with Naboth.

And she wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people:

10 And set two men, sons of Belial, before him, to bear witness against him, saying, Thou didst blaspheme God and the king. And then carry him out, and stone him, that he may die.

11 And the men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who were the inhabitants in his city, did as Jezebel had sent unto them, and as it was written in the letters which she had sent unto them.

12 They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people.

13 And there came in two men, children of Belial, and sat before him: and the men of Belial witnessed against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth did blaspheme God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died.

14 Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, Naboth is stoned, and is dead.

15 And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned, and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give thee for money: for Naboth is not alive, but dead.

16 And it came to pass, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it.

1 Kings 21:9-16

Jezebel spirit and how it operates

Women who operate under the influence of the Jezebel Spirit enjoy the power of manipulation and control. They thrive on it, and surrendering their will and desires to a man is extremely difficult for them. This has a direct impact on their willingness to submit to any authority, obstructing and impeding a genuine relationship with Christ.

Jezebel is a powerful, self-righteous, religious, controlling, and manipulative spirit with a strong will. This spirit can be seen in the American women’s movement, which is fighting for abortion rights and the right to rule over men. Eve usurped Adam’s authority in the Garden of Eden. Please understand that if a man refuses to take his rightful place, a woman operating under the spirit of Jezebel will always be ready to step in and take his place.

When a man shows signs of weakness, the Jezebel spirit takes over and takes control. Men must be in authority, subject to Christ’s leadership, and strong in the Lord’s ways. Jezebel will reign if this does not occur, whether at work, at home, or in the church.

To obtain what it desires, the spirit frequently employs manipulation or deception. The spirit will try to convince others to do its bidding in the same way as Queen Jezebel did through subtly and sneakiness.

Also, the Jezebel spirit uses seduction to sway people away from the paths of righteousness (Revelation 2:20). The church in Thyatira ran into this problem, in Revelation, when a fake prophetess, with the name Jezebel, tried to seduce its members, and the church allowed her to continue to stay.

A Jezebel spirit is one of Satan’s higher-ranking, more intelligent demons, if not the most intelligent type of demon in his kingdom.
Because it is far more intelligent than many of the lower-ranking demons, this type of spirit is far more evil, cunning, and difficult to deal with once it enters and attaches to a person.

And because this type of evil spirit is far more cunning, intelligent, and evil than some of the lower-ranking demons, it will cause far more trouble and destruction if it is not dealt with and cast out quickly.

Finally, the spirit is unapologetic about its activities. It is well aware that it causes devastation and destruction. Its strategy is to sever holy and pure institutions and connections. Satan enjoys perverting wonderful things, and one of the easiest methods for him to do so is through seduction, deception, and division.

Before we go into how to get rid of this spirit, I want to make it clear that no one can be possessed by an evil spirit if they have a saving connection with the Lord. Demons can seduce believers, but they cannot take up residence in them.

We must also use tremendous caution. Even if a person exhibits all of these characteristics, he or she will not be inhabited or controlled by a Jezebel spirit. On occasions when discernment is required, pray and ask for guidance and clarity while approaching this person. If this person is a member of your congregation, make sure to follow church discipline. Even if they do not attend a church, pray for guidance on how you will approach this person about their actions.

  1. We come to you today thanking You for Your goodness and Your mercy! We thank You for Your Holy Spirit who is with us today as we wage war against the Spirit of Jezebel. In the name of Jesus we use the authority that You have given us and the keys of heaven to bind up Jezebel with chains from heaven and forbid her from operating in our lives, our families, and in our churches. We thank you Father that as we speak Your word, that your mighty warring angels will hearken to the voice of Your word and go to war on our behalf.
  3. Father, we ask that you send forth your warring angels from heaven to help us cast down this ugly spirit. You are common and you are a liar.
  4. I loose the hounds of heaven against Jezebel (1 Kings 21:23).
  5. I rebuke and bind the spirits of witchcraft, lust, seduction, intimidation, idolatry, and whoredom connected to Jezebel.
