What You Need to Know About Mercy

“Mercy is God’s favour that holds back from us what we deserve.” Mercy can be translated as kindness, loving kindness, good, goodness, pity, and compassion. It is a deep and tender feeling of compassion. God’s mercy entails his having a deep and tender feeling of compassion towards us.

When God chooses to release his mercy on someone, his level changes and he will live on earth as if he lived in heaven. When others are crying on earth for hardship, he will be rejoicing because his source is from heaven, not on earth. His Father is in heaven, not on earth.

Do you need God’s mercy?

The mercy of God is for all. However, it can not be forced on anyone without their choice. No matter your religion, you are qualified to obtain mercy from God if you demand it through faith and obedience to God, and not through disobedience and false hope.

If you are weak spiritually or physically, you need to pray for God’s mercy. Likewise, if any area of your life is weak or under oppression, you should cry for God’s mercy.

“Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.”

Psalms 6:2

A sinner, someone who is ignorant, an unbeliever, can obtain God’s mercy to live right and do God’s work. God’s mercy when released does not consider the magnitude of the victim’s unrighteousness. When a suffering person presents himself to God and asks for His mercy, Jesus will be moved to have compassion. He will stoop kindness to release His mercy. The mercy of God is more powerful than death.

Even great ministers, who received their ministry from God, will not make it to the end if they do not pray for God’s mercy. They will faint. Without God’s mercy, many ministers will be dishonest, walk in craftiness, and handle God’s work in deceit. They will not manifest in truth. Therefore, ministers of God need to pray for God’s mercy.

When Mercy is at Work

When you obtain God’s favor, you will not be afraid of problems including death, because your home is in heaven, your father is in heaven, your savior is in heaven, your name is in heaven. Your life, treasures, affections, heart, inheritance and citizenship is not on earth but in heaven.

God’s mercies can terminate all your troubles. Nobody can be under God’s mercy and the power behind his problem will stay for a moment, much less the agent. The mercy of God comes with strength to destroy the power behind your problems and reproach. Every other kind of prayer may be acceptable, but when someone prays for mercy, God shows up in a big way to help the oppressed.

“Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.”

Isaiah 49:13

When there is no mercy of God in a person’s life, place, or thing, the promise of God will not manifest, no matter how much you pray. God’s mercy is very vital. Most Christians neglect or are not aware of its importance, and so they do not pray for it. As a result, the unbelievers, the weak, the needy, the desolate, reproachful sinners, and the inhabitants of the land, have lost many blessings for not praying for God’s mercy.

However

The area you need mercy in is different from the area another person needs mercy. Some mercies that come from God may take you away from the dominating powers of Goliath, destroy your weaknesses, provide your needs, take you away from isolation, shame, disgrace, sickness, disgrace, sickness, curse, ministerial failure, and any problem in life. If you pray for mercy, you will receive God’s love, goodness, kindness, pity, and compassion; and you will be removed or delivered from misery.
