When we pray to God, we expect answers. We are happy when we receive answers from God. However, when there appears to be a delay, we become concerned, which often leads to doubt. Healing is a gift from God, and a gift always comes from loved ones, family members, from a place of acceptance, love, and peace, among other things.
When you sin, you cut yourself off from God, and as a result, you are unable to receive this gift from him. Before one can pray for healing and deliverance, God demands holiness, victory over sin, and a Christian life that is consistent with His Word.
Many people spend so much time praying, fasting, and doing everything possible to get their healing when they have refused to end their wickedness. Some others believe that the number of times you pray determines how God will answer your prayers. However, God made it clear that if you are an oppressor, a liar, or you are living in sin, you need to repent first and then pray. He will not hear your prayers if you turn your back on His word.

The First Step
If you have not done so, the first step you have to take is to receive Christ into your life. This empowers you to become part of His kingdom and as such, you will benefit from His covenant of healing. You have to become a son before you can benefit from a father’s will. This is the part where a lot of people miss. Without entering into covenant with God through Christ, God may not answer your prayers for healing and any other answer for your healing has no godly foundation.
Similarly, when a believer backslides, he breaks his covenant relationship with God and is no longer in covenant with God. Because of this, it would be difficult for God to reach him for healing. If you have sin in your heart and refuse to repent and yet pray for healing, the Lord will not answer you no matter how long you pray or who prays for you.
“If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me”

God is omniscient. He knows the desires of your heart; he knows that you harbor sin in your heart while praying for healing. He knows you have no intention of using your health for the glory of His name if you are healed.
“The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law”

Make peace with God today. Pray and abide in the Word of God and He will deliver you. He will heal and bless you. Serve him with all that you have, including your health.
Prayers Against Sicknesses and Diseases
- Lord Jesus, gather every sickness and disease in my life and destroy them, in the name of Jesus.
- Every enemy of my health, wherever you are, die, in the name of Jesus.
- Any problem in my life caused by ignorance, die, in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord, show me how to come out of every problem, in the name of Jesus.
- Any power that is defiling the Word of God for my healing is disgraced forever, in the name of Jesus.
- I receive the anointing in the Word of God for my healing and deliverance, in the name of Jesus.
- Let the powers that are promoting sickness and disease in my life die, in the name of Jesus.
- Father Lord, command Your healing power to fall upon me now, in the name of Jesus.
- Every other name that is contending against my healing, bow and surrender to Christ’s name, in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord, empower me to live on this earth without sickness, in the name of Jesus.
