Are you aware that you have battles to fight? Are you aware of what your battles are? Being a human being comes with its own battles as much as it comes with victories. Beyond the physical battles lie the spiritual ones. The forces of darkness in this world contend with the forces of light and righteousness continually. And humans are caught up in the crossfire. But only true believers experience complete victory through Christ Jesus.
Soldiers never engage in battle while armed with no weapons. Battles require extensive planning. Many people have gone to spiritual battle without preparation, without being born again. How do you intend to battle the devil without being born again? Interestingly, a large number of people are ignorant of the existence of spiritual battles. They simply relate every battle going on in their lives to physical challenges.

It is a good idea to keep in mind that everything has both a physical and a spiritual side. Being in the dark about this has perpetually held so many in bondages that they are not aware of. I know a woman who firmly believes in the saying that “what you don’t know can’t kill you,” but the truth is that what you don’t know can sometimes kill you. And when it comes to spiritual battles, sometimes being a Christian isn’t enough.
Remember the woman in the Bible whom Satan bound for eighteen years? She was a true child of God, born-again and a daughter of Abraham. Still, the devil held her hostage for such a long time until Jesus came and set her free.
By now, I believe your eyes have been opened to how powerless you can be, even as a Christian, when you are in the dark about the battles before you. It is even worse if you are not born again. Come to Jesus now, confess that He is your Lord and Savior, and receive Him in your heart today. Now is the time to resist the devil!
