Every good businessperson understands what it means to experience breakthrough in business. Without this experience, the business would die naturally. While God wants you to prosper in your business, your enemy, the devil, does not want you to prosper. He wants you to fail.
That is why devil has stationed the forces of darkness in diverse places to stop people’s businesses from moving forward. You could have been destined to succeed in your field of business but when you fail to deal with the forces of darkness, it would be so hard for you to make it no matter how much you try.
“And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Josh the Abi–ezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valor. And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD were with us, why then is all this befallen us. In addition, where be all his miracles, which our fathers told us of, saying, did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? Now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites. And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee? And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? Behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house”
(Judges 6:11-15).
These factors ultimately brought Gideon to his knees. These forces had taken over the farmland owned by his father and were harvesting there. These forces persecuted Gideon and his people by influencing the Midianites. In order to hide it from the Midianites, Gideon was thrashing his father’s wheat in the farm.
They prepared the soil and planted, but the Midianites reap the rewards of their labor. Their adversaries took pleasure in their growth and harvest as they suffered. A tragic circumstance existed.
There are people today who do businesses with people’s destinies. People work hard but do not get rewards for their efforts. This is not right. The devil labors to contradict God’s Word and to make it invalid. God said that a man would reap what he sowed, but the devil is saying that another man would reap what you sowed. Unfortunately, that is what is happening with the businesses of many people today.
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sowed, that shall he also reap. For he that sowed to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sowed to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting”
(Galatians 6:7-8).
“And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. And this did her many days. However, Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. In addition, he came out the same hour. And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers”
(Acts 16:16-19).

The bible had a story of a young girl that went through this kind of problem. This damsel had so much strength and power to labor. She had all that it takes to succeed, make great profit and live comfortably well to help herself and others. The devil saw this and inspired some people to invoke an evil spirit to possess her.
The duty of that evil spirit was not to reduce her strength, energy and talent but to divert all her gains to the satanic kingdom for his agents to make much gain. This kind of spirit is very wicked. This is not the spirit of premature death, sickness or weakness. It is a spirit that helps you to do more work for evil men to enjoy your labor. It is a spirit that allows people to labor and suffer, and empowers satanic agents to enjoy your harvest.
This young girl was possessed by this evil spirit for a very long time. Her talent was used to help evil people while she suffered and acted irrationally. She was a diviner who used soothsaying to greatly benefit her employers. She spoke truthfully about Paul’s evangelistic team when she came across them, but Paul was upset and he exorcised the spirit that was controlling her. While the occult grandmasters started to report losses in their nefarious businesses of soul trading and destiny amputation, Paul freed her and set her free.
“And build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shall cut down.Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the LORD had said unto him: and so it was, because he feared his father’s household, and the men of the city, that he could not do it by day, that he did it by night”
(Judges 6:26-27).
The case of Gideon was similar to that of this young girl. He planted threshed wheat but the Midianites came and took them all. His problem was physical but the young girl’s was spiritual. Most of our battles today are more spiritual than physical. A great battle is going on between God’s children and Satan’s agents.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”
(Ephesians 6:12).
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ”
(2 Corinthians 10:3-5).
Many people are already defeated and the result is what you see everywhere. Many business people today are not making it because of devil’s agents who know how to divert their gains to make much profit. You need to start praying and asking God to reveal the cause of your problems so as to be able to manifest breakthroughs in your business.
