Believing in God’s Provision Brings Deliverance and Healing. Despite obstacles, like the wall of Jericho, and opposition from enemies, a life filled with sorrow, bitterness, confusion, lack, sickness and diseases can be overcome through faith in God’s provision. The Amorites held the belief that the land of Canaan was their ancestral home and were determined to resist any attempts by Israel to enter their promised land. The children of Israel based their claim on God’s promises and provision. They were determined to possess the land despite all oppositions on their way. In the face of all oppositions, God reassured the children of Israel and stated again his covenant promise and provision of the land.
If God promised you anything, believe him because He is faithful to fulfill all his promises.
“And the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein. And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand. There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass”
(Joshua 21:43-45).

Not even death or the devil can stand against God’s word. Staying faithful to God’s promises leads to provision and deliverance, resulting in freedom from all enemies, even death and the devil. God is faithful to fulfill all his promises.
“Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the LORD said unto Moses the man of God concerning me and thee in Kadeshbarnea. Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadeshbarnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart. Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the LORD my God. And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children’s for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God. And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old. As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in. Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said. And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance”

God made a promise to Caleb and after forty years, he was kept alive to receive its fulfillment. He came to the land that God promised to give him. He did not inherit or possess his possession until he asked. If you don’t asked, you will not receive what God has provided for you. God anointed David but Saul refused to allow him rule. God promised to save him from all his enemies but he had to pray in times of danger. His enemies fought him daily, oppressed him frequently, tried to swallow him up. They twisted his word, conspired against him but he put his confidence in God.
“What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me… Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?”
(Psalms 56:3-4, 8).
“In God will I praise His Word: in the LORD will I praise his Word. In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me”
(Psalms 56:10-11).

When there is a promise, wise people pray but the unwise postpone their prayer till the master of the house has risen up and shut the door before they start knocking.
“Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. Attitude in Battle Determines Triumph or Defeat. Believers should seek God’s mercy during trials and prioritize prayer early in the morning and always until their enemies are defeated. Praying with faith for the impossible and trusting in God, knowing that their tears are saved in God’s bottles, ensures that their cries for help will not go unanswered.
“And he said, let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me”
(Genesis 32:26).
You must cry for salvation, for help, deliverance and change. David faced great problems but the promise of God kept him until he fulfilled his destiny. You must not accept defeat or any setback until you fulfill your destiny and make it to heaven.
