Peace the Pieces of Your Marriage!

Marriage remains one of the most beautiful things God created. It was one of the first ancient landmarks that God established from the beginning. And just like most things, marriage comes with its own challenges. There will be disagreements, there will be disappointments, and there will be hurt feelings. God is aware of all of this, but He still makes himself available to bring peace to your marriage if you turn to Him.

The problem with so many people today is that they would prefer to run away from their problems often resorting to separation or even divorce rather than face them squarely. Unfortunately, you get into bigger problems when you run away from these problems. Nevertheless, God always provides divine solutions when you address these issues courageously.

Most of the problems in the world today are caused by families that are dysfunctional. God’s word on marriage is very clear; husbands are to love their wives just as Christ loved the Church and gave His life for it. Instead, many husbands today are not ready to pay any price for their families.

“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,  27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church”

Ephesians 5:25-29

Husbands and their Wives

Many husbands today complain about their wives inabilities rather than encourage them to perform their duties better. More so, some of them care more for their businesses and comfort more than they do their wives. Others hunt for inept excuses to separate from their wives. From the beginning, God constituted and blessed the union of one-man one-woman. Therefore, regardless of societal pressures that are forcing more people to separate or divorce, you cannot accept any other thing different from God’s original plan.

Again, shifting blames to one another instead of taking responsibility for your actions is one of the larger issues in marriage. In the case of Adam, he blamed God and his wife. He said, “It was the woman that You gave to be with me…” In turn, the woman blamed the serpent and justified herself instead of showing remorse and repenting. Most couples today still follow this pattern; instead of acknowledging their faults and looking up to God for peaceful solution when the enemy enters their home, they pride in themselves and shift blames.

Perhaps you have lost the peace in your marriage as a result of challenges that have presented themselves, I want to believe that when you humble yourself and go to God in prayers, He is able and willing to supply peaceful solutions for your marital problems.
