Paul described our problems on earth as “light afflictions,” which cannot and are supposed not to destroy a true child of God. As long as you are here on earth trying to do the right thing, the witches and wizards who believe that the earth is their territory will be energized by the spirit of the age to fire strange arrows into your life.
They may attack you with the fires of sickness, poverty, deception, slander, conspiracy, division, contention, strife, criticism, and betrayal. It may be a fire of persecution, affliction, oppression, slavery, tribulations, injustice, and denial of fundamental human rights; whatever you are going through now, there is a promise of a higher power to stop it.

If your problem is coming from the powers in the waters, God has promised to be with you, and it will not swallow you. If it is from the fire, the promise says, it will not burn you. Even satanic flames will not be permitted to destroy you in vain. Though affliction may come from all sides, God’s promise will continue to stand stronger than any affliction. The Lord will deliver you from them all. A day is coming when you will look for your problems and there will be no trace of them.
“And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen”
2 Timothy 4:18
God’s promises and His power of deliverance are the inheritance of all believers. He never abandons us to fight the tempter and his temptations in our own strength. He promised to help us and deliver us from every evil work, to preserve us for His heavenly kingdom.

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it”
1 Corinthians 10:13
He promised not to allow us to suffer from any temptation that is above us. Thus, this means that whatever you are going through now is under God’s power. There is a promise of victory attached to every problem in the life of a believer. Jesus has passed through every trial, and so he is able to deliver you from whatever trouble you may be in. And so the first thing you need to do is become a believer if you haven’t already before you start praying, and as you resist the devil and your problems, the sustaining grace of God will appear for your deliverance.
Finally, once you start praying as you repent, confess, and forsake your sins, your enemies will be disgraced. Believers’ prayers bring Jesus into the battleground of our lives. When the enemy touches you, Jesus is touched. Your victory is sure as you obey God’s word and pray.
