The Divine Love of Christ

If anyone claims to be a Christian, such one must walk as Christ walked. Christ’s love for us is tangible. He demonstrated His love for us when He died on the cross at Calvary. This love was not abstract, but concrete. We saw Him die on the cross in order to save us. Therefore, the love that exists in your family must be concrete, not abstract.

A husband and wife who claim to love each other must be practical for each other. Christ loved us and gave himself up as an offering and a sacrifice to God for the sake of our sins. He carried our cross. Likewise, there is always a cross to carry in marriage, which varies from family to family. Do not leave your marriage because of the weight of the cross that you bear. When you do that, you cease to become a disciple of Christ.

The love he had for us compelled Jesus to carry a cross for us to Calvary. Out of love, He also gave His life for us. As such, you would sacrifice anything to keep your marriage for the sake of love. We must model the kind of love Christ had for us in order to transform our marriages.
