After the death of Naboth, the prophet of God confronted Ahab and brought his family under collective captivity of family bondage
And it came to pass, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it. And the word of the Lord came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, which is in Samaria: behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, whither he is gone down to possess it. And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, thus saith the Lord, Hast thou killed, and also taken possession? And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, thus saith the Lord, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine. And Ahab said to Elijah, Hast thou found me, O mine enemy? And he answered, I have found thee: because thou hast sold thyself to work evil in the sight of the Lord.
1 Kings 21:16-20
God told him that his blood will be spilled the same way he spilled the blood of Naboth; evil would come upon him and his posterity would be cut off. In the same manner, Jezebel was also judged- dogs would feast on her by the wall of Jezreel. For the rest of the members of Ahab’s family, this was the verdict- him that dieth in the city the dogs shall eat while those who would die in the field shall the fowl of the air eat. It’s so sad that after the prophetic judgment had been passed, Jezebel and her children completely ignored the message except Ahab

But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the Lord, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up. And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom the Lord cast out before the children of Israel. And it came to pass, when Ahab heard those words, that he rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softly. And the word of the Lord came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before me? because he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days: but in his son’s days will I bring the evil upon his house.
1 Kings 21:25-29
Ahab had previously given himself to the devil to carry out wickedness because of his marriage to Jezebel, an evil woman who urged him to do further wickedness in the eyes of God. Ahab was under Jezebel’s sway when he committed despicable acts like worshipping idols, exactly like the Amorites the Lord drove out in front of the children of Israel. But after hearing God’s judgment, there came a point in Ahab’s life when he stood up to Queen Jezebel. He made the decision to free himself from the perverse soul connection to Queen Jezebel; he rented clothing and fasted in sackcloth and ashes. Even though he was King, he humbled himself and repented; since his deeds were not made public, no one was aware of them, not even the prophet Elijah.
In the same vein, if you truly repent of any known sin wherever you are now, God will see it and pardon you, no matter how grievous your sin may be. Irrespective of the fact that the Elijah of your time as well as all those that knew you before now as the worst sinner may not believe that you could be pardoned, yet the fact still remains that there is no level you have reached in committing sin that you cannot turn around in repentance; it is never too late to repent, confess your sins and forsake them. Your heart cannot be too hard for the Spirit of God to penetrate with God’s word
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. But the Lord said unto him, go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.
Acts 9:13-16
What Ahab did was to break away from his family collective bondage, the family curse and covenant of wickedness. When Queen Jezebel needed quiet the most in her life, a common captain who was lower in rank than her senior security officer judged her without mercy. She was busy applying makeup on her face at the time of her judgment. While she was applying her makeup and looking out the window, she was knocked to the ground and some of her blood fell onto the horses and the wall. She was then trampled on with no regard for her position, attractiveness, or alluring attire.
