The Purpose of God’s Blessings

God has established a purpose for blessing His people. The main purpose God blesses His children is to establish His covenant. As it is written,

“…For it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day

(Deuteronomy 8:18).

Whatever God does, has a purpose attached to it. Sadly, many people that are praying for financial breakthrough, help, miracles and blessings have no idea of the purpose of God’s blessings. That is why some people are not receiving answers to their prayers.

I have come across believers that were praying for financial miracles without having plans of what to do when finances come. Human beings would also ensure that their financial help is worthwhile and well accounted for. You may be a good Christian but if you do not have a good plan on how to invest your money, God may not answer your prayers no matter how much fasting and prayers you observe.

“Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repented. And he said, a certain man had two sons: and the younger of them said to his father, Father, gives me the portion of goods that falleth to me. In addition, he divided unto them his living. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him”

(Luke 15:10-16).

No matter how much you beg, God will not give you things that you won’t be able to handle properly. This is illustrated by the story of the prodigal son who demanded his inheritance despite having no knowledge or plan of how to manage it. He squandered it all on indulgent and reckless living in a faraway land, eventually ending up impoverished and miserable. It was only through God’s mercy that he was saved from certain death.

God is ready to bless you and answer all your prayers but you must be experienced and have plans on how to invest. He could be delaying your prayers purposely to see if you would come up with a plan or trust Him for a plan. Many people who are praying for financial help or miracles must convince God that they are ready to invest. Then after your prayers, you have to wait for God’s time for the manifestation of the answers to your prayers.

The prodigal son acquired a huge experience after wrecking his life. A wise man learns from the mistakes of others. Otherwise, he repeats the same mistakes. Make plans on how to invest your finances and when you convince God, He releases your heart desire and blesses you financially.

“And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, And is no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. And he arose, and came to his father. However, when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, had compassion, ran, fell on his neck, and kissed him. And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son”

(Luke 15:17-21).

Without adequate preparations, answers to your prayers may not be released until you have a good plan on how to use God’s blessings.
