Marriage does not come without its own issues. At some point in every marriage, someone is going to offend the other person. Unfortunately, a lot of marriages have been dissolved over trivial issues such as these, and a lot more are separated.
One of the major reasons many marriages crash is an inability to obey God’s Word. Disobedience to God’s Word is a big disservice. It brings unhappiness, a lack of love, and peace into the family. However, how can a couple obey God’s word when they have no knowledge of it? Similarly, lack of knowledge and understanding causes many crashes in marriage as well. A husband and wife who do not resolve to build their marriage on God’s commandment will find it difficult not to divorce at the first sign of dissatisfaction. .

Again, God commanded the man to leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, so that the two of them will become one. If husbands will obey this simple piece of instruction in the Scripture and then love their wives as their own bodies, no man will ever imagine separating from his wife. The Scripture held that it was not possible for any man to hate his own flesh. No matter how bad your eyes, nose, or any part of your body looked, you will still care for them.
“So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh”
Ephesians 5: 28-31
However, there are evil forces that induce men to hate their wives and even attack them. This is absolutely wrong and unlawful. The big challenge is: what do you do? Do you keep quiet and let these evil forces continue to rule your lives? Do you keep silent so that sin will abound more? No, you cannot keep quiet. You have to resist the evil spirits behind hatred. It is such a beautiful thing to love your wife or husband. The devil does not seek a place only in our homes but in our personal lives as well. Therefore, you cannot afford to give the devil an inch of your life. He can be very destructive.

Repeatedly, the old and new testaments held that husbands and wives should stay together for a lifetime. Anything or anyone who opposes this verdict opposes not only the institution of marriage, but also God. Use all spiritual weapons available to you to resist the urge and scourge of separation because it is the wish of your enemy. Therefore, understand the spiritual implication of leaving your parents in order to cleave to each other and desist from giving the devil a place.

Just as the man is mandated to love his wife, so is the wife mandated to submit to her husband. A wife who refuses to submit to her husband’s authority gives the devil a place in her family. By the time the devil takes that place, he will know how to cause separation in the shortest period of time. God expects the love, tenderness, and gentleness of wives toward their husbands to be perfect.
“Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the savior of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything”
Ephesians 5:22-24

Moses’ father-in-law was against the principle of separation, which is why he took her daughter back to Moses. He reunited a separated family. Today, God is reuniting your family in the name of Jesus.
If your marriage has encountered any such problems, you do not need to wait for your parents to come before you start doing something. Trust God for a revelation and work on yourself first. You need to take some practical actions as well, as you pray.
