Blessing the Works of My Hands

Every man on earth started life as a sinner. Only Jesus Christ’s finished work on the Cross—his life, death, and sanctification—makes salvation possible. We required a perfect sacrifice as our atonement who would serve as the mediator between God and ourselves. Have you embraced the salvation that is a gift?

It is the will of God for everyone on earth to be blessed. But unfortunately, sin has separated God from man and has made it impossible for God to reach man to bless him. However, the true blessings of God for man can only come when he accepts the only way God has made available for man to overcome sin—Jesus Christ.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God”

John 3:16-18

Working for God’s glory

You are a masterpiece that God created for his own glory. Does your entire life praise God? Many of us divide our lives into several categories, such as spiritual, familial, professional, and social. While we recognize that we are required to exalt God in these circumstances, sometimes we also tend to choose the ones that suit us.

When you get born again, the next thing for you to do is to seek a way to please God all the days of your life. This means that, as a believer, whatever you do should be pleasing to God and glorify him. A lot of people engage in the wrong businesses and professions, but they pray to God daily to bless the works of their hands. How can God bless you when you are clearly working against him?

Moses knew he was going to lose everything if he left Pharaoh’s palace. He was surrounded by wealth, honor, and power, and the throne was reserved for him. He had the opportunity to remain and enjoy great and unlimited pleasures, but he chose to stay with God’s people instead of enjoying the pleasures of sin. He had to take up a job as a keeper of flocks since he walked away by choice. God saw his faith, and then made him an ambassador of heaven on earth. He prospered him greatly and gave him power. Moses was given the power to walk a whole nation across the Red Sea!

Many believers today do not have faith in the power of God and so decide to stay where they are doing the wrong business. God can take care of you more than you know. He created you!

The work of Moses glorified God, and the works of his hands were blessed by God. God is equally waiting for you to show your faith by leaving whatever job you are doing that does not glorify God. He is ready to bless you until you become a blessing yourself. (Genesis 12:2-3)
