Breaking Free From the Devil’s Hold

All through Jesus’ stay on earth, He went about doing good. Jesus Christ gave His life and all of His strength to serve all of humanity. He used His anointing with the Holy Ghost and His power to heal all who were oppressed by the devil. Jesus was not idle, nor did He reserve His power or anointing for himself. He did not sell them either.

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him”

Acts 10:38

At some point, Jesus did not give up on freeing people from servitude. He healed and delivered people all along the way. There was a blind man with Him on the day He went to Jericho. This man was sitting by the roadside. The devil closed his eyes and limited his life by turning him into a beggar. However, when this blind man heard an unusual noise and multitudes of people passing by the roadside, he asked people what was happening and they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. He then lifted up his voice and cried for mercy. His cry of faith attracted Jesus, and his eyes were opened.

“And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging: And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant. And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by. And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,   Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.   And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God”

Luke 18:35-43

Similarly, when you lift up your voice and cry to Jesus for mercy, you will receive mercy. If you will obey Christ’s instruction like the ten lepers by keeping His word, then all your problems will end. Jesus Christ does not discriminate. He did not have favorites. He went to the house of the chief of the Pharisees and ate. There, he met a man with dropsy who did not even know his right to receive healing. Though this man was ignorant, Jesus took him and healed him.

Jesus ministered to the rich, the poor, and the beggars, and He is ready to help you as well if you cry out to Him. The devil cannot force your destiny into the grave when you invite Christ into your life. There are people whose fates have already been buried by the devil. Those people have lost their peace, marriages, businesses, children, etc., to the devil. Many others are living under the affliction, oppression, and influence of evil powers.

The devil has captured a lot of people’s progress, stars, greatness, and prosperities. This is why many people are sick, tormented, and live at the mercy of the devil. Already, their real selves have been caged, paralyzed, damaged, cast down, locked up, arrested, defeated, and doomed for destruction. Some other people are under the judgment of premature deaths, poverty, hatred, rejection, late marriage, barrenness, and marital failure. In Jesus’ name, may none of these become your portion.
