The Overflow of God’s Mercy

Blessings for Helpers

God’s mercy doesn’t just stop at blessing you but will bless those who assist you in life, as many have helped you fulfill your destiny. By God’s mercy, your shame will end, and those who identify with you will be blessed because of you (Isaiah 60:10-22; Jeremiah 30:18-22).

Continual Blessings

If you have obtained God’s mercy but are not enjoying all these benefits, probably because of ignorance, you can pray now and begin to enjoy them. If you have repented but backslidden, the benefits of God’s mercy can be withheld from you. True believers who are custodians of God’s mercy will receive the services of the sons of strangers anywhere they go. Kings will minister to them, and God’s wrath will be turned away. Every good gate closed up against them will be opened for them continually, day and night. Candidates of divine mercy are noble people, responsible leaders, and great men and women.

GOD’S MERCY MAKES HIM REMEMBER YOUR SWEAT AND LABOR TO REWARD YOU.

Is There A Reward For Laboring For God?

Whatever you do in the name of the LORD will be remembered one day, and the rewards will follow suit.

And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of thy mercy“. Nehemiah 13:22

Examples of Rewarded Faithfulness

Noah’s prompt obedience

Noah’s labor to construct the ark with all his life’s investment was later rewarded. Abraham’s enduring faith in the LORD was later rewarded with the birth of Isaac in fulfillment of God’s promises. God rewarded Joseph’s stand for righteousness with a promotion above his former boss and his equals. God rewarded Moses’ parents by keeping Moses until he was restored to them with the King’s provisions. Caleb and Joshua were rewarded with an inheritance in the Promised Land while their colleagues died in the wilderness.

As the Lord commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did, and they divided the land. Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the Lord said unto Moses the man of God concerning me and thee in Kadeshbarnea. Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadeshbarnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart“. Joshua 14:5-7

Phinehas’s zeal for righteousness

Phinehas, the grandson of Aaron, the priest, was rewarded with the covenant of peace, an everlasting covenant of the priesthood, because of his zeal for the work of God.

The daughters of Zelophehad

The daughters of Zelophehad were rewarded for speaking out on behalf of all the women without brothers in Israel after their father’s death.

Rehab’s Faith

Rehab, the harlot, was rewarded for hiding the spies of Israel, and her life was spared with her entire family in the time of mass destruction because of her Faith in the God of Israelites.

Ruth’s clinging to the God of Israel

Ruth was rewarded by insisting on following her mother-in-law to worship the only true God in Israel.

And they lifted their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her. And she said, Behold, thy sister-in-law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister-in-law. And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me. When she saw that she was steadfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her. So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi? And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me. So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter-in-law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest“. Ruth 1:14-19, 22

Hannah’s heart cry, Jonathan and other men of Faith

Hannah was rewarded with Samuel, who later became a great prophet in Israel. Jonathan, the first son of the first King of Israel, and his seeds were rewarded when he stood against his father’s sinful lifestyle; when he entered into a covenant with David, he stepped out of his father’s evil foundation (1 Samuel 14:1-32; 2 Samuel 21:7-9).

David was rewarded when he stepped out by faith and challenged Goliath, the champion of the Philistines, to defend the name of the LORD. What shall I say more, for time will fail me to talk about Elijah, the widow of Zarephath; Elisha the prophet and Paul, the apostles; Hezekiah, Jabez, and other men and women of faith? Candidates of God’s mercy are freed from general curses, common deaths, and waste.

Do not Compromise.

If you are righteous, do not compromise your stand for righteousness no matter what you go through now. You will soon embrace peace by the mercy of God.
