The Revelation of God’s Program and the Worthy One

The Opening of Revelation Chapter 5

The book of Revelation Chapter 5 is a continuation of chapter 4 and it is a critical chapter, a crucial point in the book of Revelation. This chapter is very important, as it is the key to the rest of the book of Revelation. With the church age gone, the mystery which is the rapture of the church gone, the heaven opened and a throne in sight, we are about to enter a new phase.

In the first seven years after the rapture, God has no program for the raptured saints here on earth. Their portion is in heaven. The bema judgment and the marriage supper of the lamb is God’s program for the saints and it is in heaven. Haven seen the seven seals, the heaven is looking for who is worthy to open it, read and interpret what is therein.

‘And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon’ (Revelation 5:2-4).

The Search for Worthiness

The assignment to proclaim, search for the worthy one to receive the book, open the book and loose the seals thereof was not given to an ordinary angel, but a strong angel. He was assigned, empowered to execute the assignment with a loud voice so that every creature in heaven and earth, under the earth will hear. He obeyed and did as he was commanded, unfortunately; no man in heaven or in earth, neither under the earth was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. It was a big disappointment, a woeful failure that God has a program, sealed up, but none among the creature was found worthy to approach God’s throne, His presence to receive God’s program for mankind.

The multitudes sinners living on earth and the entire raptured saints have no access for the end. It was a big vacuum, a failure among human. The same thing is applicable today in many organizations, communities, families and nations. Every problem on earth today has a solution attached to them, sealed and waiting for a qualified person to be able to approach God, receive it, and lose it to help humanity.

There are things, situation and level that no one has reached in your family, community and all places but none is unreachable. If you can pray, get closer to God and ask for power to receive, loose, you will take your family, group or nation to the next level. What is going on in every family, places and nations in the world calls for weeping before God.

John’s Weeping and the Call to Persevere

John on seeing the document that contains God’s program for human kind but none was qualified, able, fit and proper to receive, loose the seals started weeping. He was allowed to weep, he cried out and with all his strength, his cry was not able to solve the problem. God allowed him to cry until he cried enough, wept much to prove to him that cries cannot solve the problem.

Many people, including believers in many families, are presently weeping because of the situation they found themselves. Many people, families and nations had wept before. They lived and died without achieving anything or dislodging their Goliaths.

John succeeding because before he started weeping, he got to the throne of God. He did not weep before Domitian, the Emperor; he wept before the throne of all thrones, the God of all gods, the Alpha and Omega, the Almighty God.

‘All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all’ (Isaiah 53:6).

‘For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God’ (Romans 3:23).

He wept before the King of kings, the arm of the Lord. John was an aged believer but he bulldozed himself before the throne of God in the third heaven, before the root of all tender plant, the root that broke forth out of a dry ground, the despised and rejected king of the whole earth. He wept before the one that was acquainted with grief, that carried our sorrows away, bore our grief and was wounded for our transgression.

John wept before the one that was bruised for our iniquity, chastised of our peace, given hot stripes for our sickness, the one that everyone turned away from, who carried the iniquity of mankind. He wept before the one that was oppressed, afflicted for our sake, yet He opened not His mouth. His old age, position as a church leader, insults, persecution from the head of the government, Emperor Domitian, the boiling oil and the unfriendly cold weather from the Isle of Patmos could not stop him from reaching to the throne. Don’t allow anything stop you from approaching Christ for your salvation and the liberation of your people, press forward.
