The Danger of Marrying into the Family of a Godless Senior Citizen
The danger of identifying with, partnering with, or marrying the child of a senior citizen who doesn’t know God. We have to take these admonitions seriously. Jeremiah the prophet put it this way:
“They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcasses shall be meat for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth” JEREMIAH 16:4
“Then shalt thou say unto them, because your fathers have forsaken me, saith the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law; And ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me” JEREMIAH 16:11-12
It is a risky venture to marry the child of a senior citizen who has forsaken God and built his family to dine with demons. No matter how educated, beautiful, and wealthy they may be, you are endangering your destiny by coming into partnership with the devil’s family. You have also entered into a commitment of having the devil as your father-in-law and mother-in-law thereby giving him the right to fulfill his mission in your life and home, which is to steal, kill, and destroy. This one decision could lead to an unproductive and unfulfilled life.
The Consequences for Ministers Who Do Not Guide Their Children
Ministers who are senior citizens who have refused to guide their children on the right path will suffer the same fate because they will bring shame, disgrace, and reproach to their ministries later. Remember the story of Eli and his two sons. They were not spared because they were the children of a high priest. They suffered the consequences of their evil deeds (see 1 Samuel 2:12-17). Idolatrous senior citizens who bow down to worship and sacrifice before images will likely lose everything they amass in their lifetime, including their children, as in the case of a relative, Elder Mark.
The Fate of Unrepentant Senior Citizens
Senior citizens who walk after other gods, swear to and serve them, and refuse to repent will likely lose their souls forever. The destiny of the unrighteous is written thus:
“Your sons and your daughters shall be given unto another people, and your eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long: and there shall be no might in your hand“. DEUTERONOMY 28:32
“You shall beget sons and daughters, but you shall not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity“. DEUTERONOMY 28:41
These admonitions are written for our learning. Isn’t it somewhat baffling that some of our senior citizens still go contrary to God’s law with radical abandon? Nonetheless, the Word of the Lord shall be established. The wealth and children of the unrighteous would be given to other people when they need them the most in life. The cult they belong to and the sacrifices they offered that attracted demons will continue to attack them with complex problems and uncompromising shame. They will not enjoy whatever they get that is ungodly. All they suffered to get in their lifetime would go into captivity. If they retire to establish businesses or make investments with gratuities, they will not profit. Instead, they will lose their capital. They will invest vast amounts of money but will receive very little profit. Even so, unforeseen problems would still consume the little profit acquired. If they choose a fixed deposit in a bank, there will be an economic loss where their investments are (see Deuteronomy 28:38-39).
The Burden of Sin on Future Generations
Their labors will not yield good results, no matter how careful they are. Demonic worms and problems will come unannounced, like locusts, to attack every organ of their bodies. Rebellious people, workers, relatives, and children will provoke them to wrath and regret every day, just as Reuben, Simeon, and Levi did to Jacob, their father (see Genesis 49:3-7).
How to escape God’s judgment
How can a senior citizen escape the coming judgment? It is simple. Early repentance is a beautiful panacea. Delay is dangerous. Repent and embrace the love of Christ now, turn away from your sins, and lead your children away from their evil ways.
Why children should be taught the way of the Lord
If you turn away from your cruel ways and fail to teach your children to do the same, they will bear the consequences of choosing the path of doom.
How did Ahab respond to divine judgment?
Do you remember the story of Ahab and Elijah, the prophet? After killing Naboth, Elijah accosted King Ahab on his way to possess Naboth’s vineyard. Elijah released the judgment upon the king, and amazingly, the king became remorseful that he rented his robes. Then God appeared to Elijah and told him,
“Seest thou how Ahab humbled himself before me? Because he humbled himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days: but in his son’s days will I bring the evil upon his house“. 1 KINGS 21:29
The Remedy: Coming to Jesus
The remedy is always Jesus because those who accept Christ amongst this clan often escape the curse as they are set free through the Son of God. Whosoever Jesus sets free is free and free indeed!
