The Danger of Praying and Conducting Deliverance in Sin
Hiring people to pray for your deliverance, freedom or prosperity when you are not ready to do away with sin is not the best. To pray aggressively against demons, evil foundations when you are not ready to forsake your sin is very dangerous.
The Danger of Returning to Sin after Deliverance
Returning back to a life of sin after encountering Jesus and receiving deliverance doubles one’s problems and makes his later end worse than it was at the beginning. This is the reason why many deliverance ministries produce more bewitched people than free people. Entanglement with sin after deliverance opens more doors for demons to come back. A person that is delivered from witchcraft but goes back into sin becomes more wicked and dangerous than he was before. The more she engages in deliverance prayers, the more dangerous a witch she becomes.
The deliverance prayers only put them into more bondage. Unless they overcome sin, such people stay in church or deliverance groups to cause trouble and bewitch others. Unfortunately, many of such people are promoted to deliverance ministers or group leaders and instead of delivering people from demonic powers, they transfer or postpone demonic activities because they are in league with demons already. This is the reason why many testify of being delivered today but just after a few days, either the problem reoccurs or it becomes transferred from the head to the leg. When they complain, they are advised to pray deliverance prayers or go for another deliverance. If your deliverance refuses to come to an end, then try to overcome sin.
‘And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore, it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.’ 2 Corinthians 11:14-15
Can a witch cast out a witch?
It is important to know that a witch cannot cast out the spirit of witchcraft. They can only transfer them from one area of one’s life to the other or postpone their activities. But if they try to cast out witchcraft spirit that is higher in rank than the ones they operate with, the deliverance candidate may enter into a more serious trouble. The reasons why there are many problems, confusion, fighting and killings among many deliverance groups today is because junior witches are challenging senior witches in deliverance ministries. The demons in the satanic kingdom are in hierarchies and they respect themselves. But ignorant deliverance ministers who are possessed are challenging higher evil powers that are higher than their authority. By so doing, they put themselves in trouble together with the deliverance candidates.
‘For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places‘. Ephesians 6:12
‘Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, we adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded‘. Acts 19:13-16
Can Deliverance come to the One in Sin?
Nobody can remain under the bondage of sin and receive deliverance successfully. No matter the volume of prayers, or the number of deliverance services you attend, if you don’t overcome sin, you put yourself into more trouble. The dog will always return back to its vomit and the sow back to the mire.
‘But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, the dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire‘. 2 Peter 2:22
What is Sin?
Sin is a voluntary transgression of a religious law or moral principles; it is moral depravity, wickedness and iniquity. Sin could be committed either in commission, when a known divine law or moral principle is violated, or in omission, if it is voluntarily and willfully neglected.
The Fate of Deliverance Groups that play and gamble with Sin.
Any deliverance group or church that gambles with sin will not last. Many people in such groups are highly possessed, afraid of each other and see themselves as unfit to marry one another. Some prefer to go outside to marry than to marry each other.
‘Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?‘ Romans 6:12-16
Victory comes by yielding to God
To overcome sin, Paul advised that we should not allow sin to reign in our mortal bodies. We must not obey the lusts thereof. Our bodies should not be an instrument of unrighteousness unto sin. We should yield ourselves to God and not allow sin to have dominion over us. If you allow a particular sin to reign over you, you will not be an instrument of God. No matter your position in the church, you are working for the devil as long as you have not overcome sin. The will of God is to overcome sin, not to allow sin to reign over you. To prophesy is good, to cast out demons is good but it is better to overcome sin first.
‘Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.’ Matthew 7:21-23
