God’s Mercy Helps You To Be Steadfast
God’s mercy enables you to maintain your walk with God in holiness and righteousness. “When I said, my foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood. Yet they say, The Lord shall not see neither shall the God of Jacob regard it“. Psalms 94:18; 21:7
One of the devil’s strategies is to cause people’s feet to slip away from God and the way of righteousness. If you obtain God’s mercy, you will be kept from error and be preserved in purity. When you trust in the power of God’s mercy, nothing will move you out of righteousness. Any believer or leader that ever achieved divine purpose trusted in divine mercy and failure ceased in their lives.
Fulfills God’s Promises
“To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant; The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, that he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life“. Luke 1:72-75
The devil may try to delay God’s promises in your life, but He will never stop their manifestation as long as you invoke divine mercy through faith. When you allow God’s mercy to manifest God’s righteousness in your life, His promises will be fulfilled. By faith, Zachariah remained faithful to God by living a righteous life and walking in His commandment. Living a holy life brings about the fulfilment of God’s promises in the life of a believer. God’s mercy will help a believer to live above sin. When this is achieved, God’s promises will become visible in your life.
The Mercy Of God Can Preserve You From Curses Associated With Certain Crimes.
His mercy makes Him attend to the plea of bloody guilty men. If you are falsely accused or suspected of murder or any other crime, God’s mercy will preserve you from the curse that accrues to that particular crime if you cry for mercy.
“And all the elders of that city, that are next unto the slain man, shall wash their hands over the heifer that is beheaded in the valley: And they shall answer and say, our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen it. Be merciful, O Lord, unto thy people Israel, whom thou hast redeemed, and lay not innocent blood unto thy people of Israel’s charge. And the blood shall be forgiven them. So shalt thou put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the Lord“. Deuteronomy 21:6-9
Many crimes will be committed and cleverly covered in many families, offices, and communities. A lot of people have suffered false accusations, accused, arrested, judged, and condemned for atrocities and crimes they know nothing about. Many die for the crimes committed and cleverly covered by wicked people.
The absence of genuine prayer for mercy has wasted the lives of many innocent people around us. Prayer for mercy can expose the guilty and put away the shedding of innocent blood from among us. You will be justified when you pray for mercy consistently, provided your hands are clean.
