There Is Power In The Name Of Jesus
When Peter and John came in contact with this great name, they invoked God’s mercy upon people’s lives. This name is more valuable than riches, or the whole world put together. Instead of pursuing money, wealth, and all the good things in this world, seek Christ Jesus first, and every other thing will be added to you.
A man was lame from his mother’s womb and had never walked. He was limited and enveloped by the spirit of lameness and paralysis. For forty years, he lived at the mercy of people who carried him to the temple gate to beg for alms from passers-by. The mercy they showed him never solved his problems permanently. But a day came when he saw Peter and John about to enter the temple. He asked for alms as usual, but they introduced him to the name of Jesus. Be Confident of the Name
If only you know what you have as a believer, you would never allow anyone to look down on you, no matter their achievement. The name of Jesus Christ did what begging couldn’t do for forty years within a twinkle of an eye. On that day, for the first time, the lame man returned to his house without any aid. He entered the temple for the first time, walking, leaping and praising God. After today, you will enter into places you never imagined you could enter in your life. Your business will reach the level that no one in your family, city or nation has ever attained from the day of Adam and Eve.
Prayer for divine mercy prayed in the name of Jesus will take you where you are supposed to be. About five thousand people who saw what happened abandoned their idols and identified with the name of Jesus. Among them were the sick, who repented immediately after hearing the repentance message.
“And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch. And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them. And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.) Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one”. Acts 5:12-16

Sick people were brought into the streets with some on their beds and couches, and as they came in contact with the shadow of the man who carried the name of Jesus, they were healed. Demons were cast out at the mention of the name of Jesus, the carrier of God’s mercy. All those who came and identified with the name of Jesus were delivered. Some who were paralyzed, lame, demonized, dead and in danger of death were healed, delivered and brought back to life.
The power in the name of Jesus cannot be over emphasized, it is indeed the surest route to obtaining divine mercy. There is no other name in which we can be saved except in the name of our Lord Jesus, identify with Him now and always.
