God’s Mercy Makes Him Not To Hide His Face From You
Divine mercy grants automatic access to the face of God. If you are seeking the face of God, ask God for mercy, and you will see His face. When you obtain God’s mercy, He will turn to you and your needs and supply them according to His loving-kindness and multitude of His mercy.
“Hear me, O Lord; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies. And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily“. Psalms 69:16, 17
What Happens When The Mercy Of God Turns To You?
The mercy of God turns God’s face towards you until all your problems bow. When such a person prays, his prayers are answered speedily, and all his troubles fizzle; divine light shines upon him, and every darkness in him is expelled. His mercy can organize the disorganized victims, remove their confusion, and flood their hearts with peace.
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord”. Isaiah 54:17, 18
Even if you are in the darkest region of this earth, when mercy brings God’s face to shine on you, darkness will disappear. When Jacob obtained mercy, God’s face shined upon him, and immediately the terror of God manifested against his enemies. All his fears left him and came upon his enemies. Then God asked him to leave the house of bondage and return to Bethel (Genesis 35:1-14). When the mercy of God brought the face of God into the prison where Joseph was locked up, the prison door opened for him. This same mercy brought him out of the prison, shaved his hair, changed his garment, and secured an appointment with the king, the president of the country.
With the mercy of God and the focus of God’s face on him, he was made a governor and second in command of Egypt- the headquarters of the world at that time. His brethren, who sold him as an enslaved person out of hatred and envy, later came and bowed down to him.
The Impact of Divine Mercy on Joseph’s Destiny
You may be suffering now because you have been forgotten by the people you helped in the past. But if you obtain mercy, you will be remembered, promoted, and empowered to rule.
“When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him“. Proverbs 16:7
The mercy of God will help you fulfill your destiny and good dreams. Divine mercy and God’s face upon Joseph made his eleven brethren bow before him.
And Judah and his brethren came to Joseph’s house; for he was yet there: and they fell before him on the ground.
And Judah said, what shall we say unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? God hath found out the iniquity of thy servants: behold, we are my lord’s servants, both we, and he also with whom the cup is found.
“And his brethren also went and fell down before his face; and theqy said, Behold, we be thy servants. And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them“. Genesis 44:14, 16; 50:18-21
When God’s face shines upon you, you will not only be positioned to help others, but all your enemies will bow before you. God’s face upon you will empower you to know right and wrong and receive the power to say no to sin and face the consequences of your godly stance as Joseph did. True mercy from God helps you to stand for righteousness amid the unrighteousness.
“And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand; And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel”. Numbers 25:6-8
If the mercy or blessing you enjoy brings you under the bondage of sin, you are deceived.
The Power To Live Right And Stand For Righteousness.
Some people have power, fame, wealth, and all the good things around them but lack the power to live righteously. Amid youths overcome by immorality, God’s mercy kept Phinehas from falling. The same mercy kept him from untimely death, resulting from an immoral lifestyle.
“And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy. Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace: And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel“. Numbers 25:10-13
In addition to that, he turned God’s wrath away from the children of Israel because he was zealous for God among the youths. He received the covenant of peace from God, even during troubles, an everlasting covenant of priesthood for himself and his seed.
How did Jesus’ Earthly Ministry bless People?
When Jesus was here on earth, He healed all sicknesses and diseases and delivered the oppressed by divine mercy.
“And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the kingdom’s gospel, and healing all manner of sickness and disease among the people. And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers’ diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan“. Matthew 4:23-25
He cleansed leprosy, cast out demons, challenged and overcame grave demons. He opened the blind eyes, opened deaf ears, restored withered hands, fed the hungry in their thousands, and walked upon the sea. When He came in contact with the men of Gennesaret, He healed their diseases.
“And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased; And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole“. Matthew 14:35, 36
When He came to the pool of Bethsaida, He destroyed impotence and told the man, ‘Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.’ Those who toiled all night without a testimony before following Him prospered beyond measure by identifying with Him. It doesn’t matter if your business, destiny, or hope of achieving your goals may have died or is about to die; God’s mercy can resurrect them.
“And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people. Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her. And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother. And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, that a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people. And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judaea, and throughout all the region round about“. Luke 7:11-17`
You may be dead to everything good, but your encounter with Jesus today can reverse every death. You can live again to fulfill your destiny, achieve your dreams, and make heaven. You can hear the same voice that brought Lazarus back to life. It’s called the power of resurrection– deliverance through mercy.
