The Power of Speaking by Faith

When the king of Egypt died the new king placed the children of Israel into bondage. They were under taskmasters. As they laboured in hard bondage, the Egyptians were enjoying the fruits of their labours. That made them to sigh and cry unto God. Through their prayers, their deliverance manifested and God had respect for them. Your prayers can cause God to bring back your lost respects, honor and dignity.

“And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage. And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.”

(Exodus 2:23-25).

Deliverance from Confusion

God called Moses into the ministry, and sent him to Pharaoh. He assured Moses of his support and the total deliverance of the children of Israel from the bondage of Egyptians. In obedience, Moses confronted Pharaoh. Moses expected immediate deliverance, but Pharaoh increased their labour. Moses became confused and he went back to God in prayers. The children of Israel also in confusion and disappointment accused Moses (Exodus 5:1-21). Under that situation Moses used the phone number of prayer and contacted God for deliverance. In times of confusion, believers should go back to God and not to man.

“And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Lord, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me? For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.”

(Exodus 5:22, 23).

Overthrow your Enemies

When the children of Israel left Egypt, Pharaoh and his servants regretted allowing them to go. He pursued them with chariots and six hundred chosen soldiers with captains over them. They met the children of Israel encamped by the sea beside Phihahiroth before Baalzephon. When the children of Israel saw them, they cried unto the Lord in prayer (Exodus 14:10, 13-15).

Immediately Moses prayed, the angel of the Lord appeared in the camp of Israel and stood at their back and there was also the pillar of cloud. The cloud produced darkness for the Egyptians and produced light for the children of Israel. When Moses stretched out his hand to the Red Sea, the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night and made the sea dry land and the water was divided. Before the next morning all the Egyptian hosts were troubled with their chariots. When Moses stretched forth his hand, the water returned against the Egyptians and they were overthrown by the Red Sea together with their chariots (Exodus 14:19-31).

Prayers can overthrow your enemies and deliver you from the hand of stubborn pursuers who are determined to waste your life. Our God is ready to fight for us as long as we are ready to use the phone number of prayers to contact him in times of trouble. Times of problems are times for telling God our desires and not to fight one another and find faults (Exodus 14:11-12).

Supply your Needs

When the children of Israel left Egypt, they journeyed from the wilderness of sin where there was no water. In this journey of life, one day you will need to lack one thing or the other. The journey of the children of Israel brought them into an empty or pathless region where there was no water. Every one of them became so thirsty both young and old. All of them faced Moses and mandated him to give them water. A whole nation wanted water from an individual, a mortal person. It was a hopeless situation, but the God who divided the Red Sea and disgraced the greatest soldiers of the most powerful nation of the old world was still alive. How many people are depending upon you? How large is your family? Are you facing a hopeless situation?

If your answers are yes, Moses faced the same situation; a hopeless situation, but he used the phone number of prayers to reach God. If you use the same phone number, you will receive divine supply.

“And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, what shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me. And the LORD said unto Moses, go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go. Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.”

(Exodus 17:4-6).

Moses was eventually accused of murder attempt; everybody was against him. The people were behaving like children. At times, problems cause people to behave like children. You may have such people as a father in a family, or a pastor of a big congregation. No matter how difficult your problem looks like, God can solve every problem. Prayers can supply your needs in the desert of life.
