The Secret of Contentment for Financial Breakthrough

The Secret of Contentment

To possess the virtue of contentment is to be satisfied with what you have. Hebrews 13:5 states it simply: “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

People often feel dissatisfied with their ancient automobiles. Too many people swap or sell their automobiles before they are used up. There’s a significant difference between repairing the old trash heap so you can drive it for another three years and purchasing a new vehicle. Many salespeople use the smooth comment, “You just make that easy monthly payment.” There is seldom anything simple about that monthly bill. It seems to be becoming more difficult to create. Second Corinthians 6:10 is a lovely verse to use here. It has the following meaning: “As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.”

According to my automotive industry contacts, most vehicles can last longer than most humans do. Just because a vehicle has surpassed 100,000 miles does not obligate the owner to sell it. Take a look at some of the buses, trucks, and automobiles that are still running today, particularly in nations outside North America. They are automobiles of the same age and mileage that others abandoned years ago.

Two Secrets to maintaining Contentment

Learn to Be Happy with the little you have

A hardworking CEO chose to spend a few days at a monastery. “I hope your stay is blessed,” remarked the monk who guided him to his cell. “Let us know if you need anything. As funny as it sounds, happiness isn’t about receiving what you desire; it’s about enjoying what God has already given you! Paul learnt to be satisfied regardless of his circumstances, whether he was well-fed or in need. I can accomplish anything because he gives me power.” (NIV: Philippians 4:12-13)

Remind Yourself that things could be worse

You had an accident that got your car scratched or even shattered, you questioned God and got angry with God for the accident not knowing that the enemy planned something worse. You didn’t have enough money for your school fees or for feeding and you are always angry with God. Do not forget it could be worse. As simple as this may seem, reminding oneself that the phrase “IT COULD BE WORSE” may be a strong source of happiness! SO BE CONFIDENT IN YOURSELF AND DON’T PRETEND TO BE SOMETHING. 1 Peter 5:7 says “God’s powerful hand is on you, and HE WILL PROMOTE YOU AT THE RIGHT TIME. Live carelessly before God; he is more concerned about you.” (MSG) Things may always be worse, so learn to thank God more for what you have now!
