The Sealed Scroll and the Worthy Lion
John wept because the terrible plagues containing God’s program for sinners on earth was in a scroll, book that was covered. God gave the revelation to show and reveal His plans, purpose and the coming event but now, the sealed book containing unfolded, unrevealed mysteries of last events, could not be opened. But something happened; the Lion of all lions, the Lion of the tribe of Judah emerged, appeared, manifested, and showed up. The root of David surfaced again.
‘And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof’ (Revelation 5:5).
‘As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith’ (Genesis 49:10).
‘I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star’ (Revelation 22:16).
‘And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked’ (Isaiah 11:1-4).
‘The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world’ (John 1:29).
‘And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!’ (John 1:36).
Jesus, the Lamb Slain and Redeemer
The lamb slain, yet standing, who is the worthy one, Jesus Christ. What qualified Him? For thou wast slain and hast redeemed us to God (see Revelation 5:9, Daniel 7:13-14).
He is the only one that was qualified because He has complete authority, seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth. He came, took the book out of the right hand of Him that sat upon the throne. This brought a new song by the four and twenty elders and the four beasts. They fell down before the Lamb with harps, golden vials, full of odors, which are the prayers of the saints. In their songs, they told Jesus, thou art worthy to take the book, to open the seals and tell the world who fail to rapture what they will suffer.
Jesus was and still is the only one who is qualified to approach God, the Ancient of days and received dominion, glory and kingdom to rule and reign over all people, nations and languages of the world forever and ever. God the father is in support of His authority and have given Him power for the whole world to serve Him because His dominion is everlasting. His kingdom will never be stopped or destroyed; it is forever and ever.
‘John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me’ (John 1:15).
‘Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name’ (Philippians 2:9).
John the Baptist in His witness concerning Him said, He that cometh after me is preferred before me, for He was before me. Christ was born before every human being, everything because He is the first born of every creation. He is qualified to take the book from God’s hand, open the seals thereof because God has exalted Him, gave Him a name, which is far above every other name.
‘Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him’ (Hebrews 1:4-6).
’But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?’ (Hebrews 1:13-14).
The Ultimate Worship and Unity of the Redeemed
He is worthy, selected to receive the book, open the seals, read and interpret the things thereof because He is the only one, far much better than the angels put together and by inheritance, He has a more excellent name than all the angels. All angels worship Him, serve Him, respect and honor Him as the first begotten into the world.
‘And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odors, which are the prayers of saints. And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever’ (Revelation 5:8-14).
Not only the four beasts, the twenty-four elders, but it includes the whole redeemed, they all fell down and sing a new song in worship of the lamb. Everyone without exception with harps shall offer seven fold praise and worship to our redeemer, the Great God on the throne. Men, angels and all creatures shall praise Him.
‘Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise’ (Psalm 33:1-3).
He made us kings, priests and rulers to reign on the earth. The number of His worshippers was ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands of thousands. All they were saying is; worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory and blessing. With such thundering voices of these singers, every creature in heaven, earth, under the earth, the sea and everything in them heard their voice. They were saying, so at the end of ends, our redeemer and Savior has finally receive all the blessings, honor, glory, and power forever and ever. When the four beasts heard it, they said, Amen, they fell down and worshipped Him that liveth forever and ever.
Finally, finally, the devil bowed and released all the blessings, honor, and glory, power to Him that sitteth upon the throne and unto the Lamb forever and ever. The worst thing that can happen to anyone is to remain in sin, refuse to repent, pursue anything on earth, serve the devil and ignore the gift of salvation. Whatever blessing, honor, glory, or power you can get without Christ is frustration and destructive. Riches, power to achieve anything good, the strength, wisdom and all good things on earth you are pursuing without God is useless and unprofitably disappointing. At the end, every disunity, lies, disagreement and misunderstanding will be put away among the redeemed. Before the throne, after the rapture, the saints will enjoy perfect unity together.
The devil may defile it now, pollute the love of the brethren but it will die before the throne.
‘After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God forever and ever. Amen’ (Revelation 7:9-12).
The redeemed saints, a great multitude of all the nations, kindred, people and tongues will not be stopped. They will stand one day before God’s throne, free from oppression and oppressors. They will stand before the throne, freed from witches and wizards, household wickedness and all evil forces before the lamb, clothed with white robes and palms in their hands. They will in perfect unity, full of love and joy sing saying, salvation to our God, which sitteth upon the throne and unto the lamb. As they sing, praise with tears of joy, all the angels will stand round about the throne, the elders; the four beasts will fall before the throne on their faces and worship God.
As they do so, they will be saying amen, blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power and might be unto our God forever and ever without any left for the devil and his agents. Amen
‘And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men’ (Luke 2:8-14).
