Obtaining Grace Through Christ

God desires to provide you with His grace because He is gracious. You can easily receive every other thing through divine grace, including His nature. Crying to God for His grace with a broken heart moves Him to be gracious and respond without delay.

for that is his only covering, and it is his cloak for his body; in what else shall he sleep? And if he cries to me, I will hear, for I am compassionate“. Exodus 22:27

When God ministers grace to you, other good attributes like mercy, long-suffering, and abundant goodness follow suit with His truth.

True repentance attracts divine compassion

True repentance or turning back to God as a backslider will attract divine compassion for you and your children, both born and unborn. Those evil powers who took you into captivity, as well as those who hate you, will cease in their wickedness against you and have compassion on you. God’s mercy returns the victims to their lost inheritance and settles them according to God’s will (2 Chronicles 30:9; Nehemiah 9:17; Job 33:24).

God is more ready to pardon and forgive you of all your sins than you are prepared to repent. He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and great in kindness. When the graciousness of God manifests, those the enemy has condemned in the pit will be delivered.

But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love“. Psalms 86:15; 103:8

God is full of compassion, grace, long-suffering, and plenty in mercy and truth.

What are the dividends of obtaining God’s mercy?

If you obtain divine mercy, His judgment against you will be reversed and replaced with His plenteous mercy. If you obtain His grace in the time of His wrath, He will spare you from the judgment that consumes others. His works in you, which is the extension of His grace, will separate you from devastating evil judgment (Exodus 34:6; 2 Kings 13:23; 2 Chronicles 30:9; Nehemiah 9:17; Job 33:24; Psalms 111:4; 145:8; 1 Peter 2:3).

Is God’s grace a gift?

God’s grace is a gift from God and His son, the LORD Jesus, given freely to all.

Of this gospel, I was made a minister according to the gift of God’s grace, which was given to me by the working of his power. But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore, it says, “When he ascended on high, he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men.Ephesians 3:7; 4:7, 8

Whatever you can achieve today comes by God’s grace and can be increased. God gives every believer a measure of grace, and if you put it to use more will be added.

The dividends of Christ’s death

Every limitation to divine grace was removed entirely when Christ died, rose again, and led captivity captive. When Jesus ascended on high, He took away the grace captured in the hand of the devil and distributed gifts unto men. If you have not received yours, you can do so now if you must function effectively in the body of Christ. Paul ministered to Timothy, and he was ministered to receive not only God’s grace but also mercy and peace from Christ.

How God’s grace is received

God’s grace is super, exceeding abundant with Christ, and can be received through prayer and faith. All believers are chosen and called to fulfill God’s purpose which cannot be fulfilled without His grace.

It is not a small thing to assume the office of a father as many claim; you must have sufficient grace to minister to your sons in the faith. Unfortunately, many have failed in this calling because of the absence of gifts of grace, mercy, and peace. Rather than stand for righteousness, many ministers defend evil and promote wickedness. They defend sinful sons and daughters in the faith who commit immorality, steal church money, and persecute the righteous. Today, ministers and their members only have godfathers who support their wrongdoings and give financial and material rewards to them for evil protection.

What enabled Paul to minister, mentor, and impact positively on those under him?

Paul had sufficient grace, mercy, and peace to minister to the people under him. He took time to pray for God’s grace, mercy, and peace, enabling him to become an example to Timothy, Titus, and others in the ministry. The Corinthian Christians obtained God’s grace directly from Christ and when Paul saw it, he commended it.

I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus“.1 Corinthians 1:4

Is a grace-filled person expected to fight, ridicule, belittle, and envy others?

If you have God’s grace, you will not fight the gift of others because gifts are given by God for a divine purpose. Fighting God’s gifts in any church or in the life of anyone is wrong and makes your gifts questionable. When a true believer or leader sees God’s grace manifesting in anyone under him, or anywhere, he showers love to the person. If you envy and work against other people’s grace to achieve greatness and fulfill a divine purpose, your gift is fake or corrupt; It is either your gift from God has been corrupted like King Saul or you never received it from God or Christ (1 Timothy 1:2, 14; 2 Timothy 1:2, 9; Titus 3:4-7; 1 Peter 1:13; 2Corinthians 8:9).

The benefit of linking up with Jesus.

If you link up with Jesus, you will receive grace for grace and the truth that comes only from Christ will abound in your life.

For from his fullness, we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ“. John 1:16, 17

Salvation and true deliverance are the work of God’s grace to those who believe. Yes, salvation is available for those who believe. According to the Christian faith, believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the key to receiving salvation, which offers forgiveness of sins and eternal life. This belief is grounded in scriptures like John 3:16, which states, “For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

The grace of God hates sin, forgives sinners of their sins, and empowers them with the Spirit of holiness. God’s grace empowers believers to abhor sin and obey His word anywhere they go.
