The Voice of Faith in Action

The Power of Faith

We are talking about faith, and faith also has a voice. The voice of faith is saying what you believe. Elijah did not use physical weapons to close the heavens of his days for three years and six months. The weapons he used were the weapons of faith that have a voice. He spoke to the elements, and they obeyed him. You can talk to any person, place or thing because even the non-living things can hear when you speak by faith.

“And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.”

(1 Kings 17:1).

You do not need a gun or atomic bomb to win spiritual battle. Your word can defeat the worst enemy of life. The battle may be too hot, but we are bound to win if we believe and keep saying out what we believe. Those who believed in the past and were used mightily by God are not better than us.

Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.”

(James 5:17-18).

Faith in Action

All the miracles and divine manifestations that followed Christ’s ministry came as a result of the words of faith he spoke. When he met a blind man, he did not pray or struggle with the blind demons. He spoke the word of faith: “Believe ye that I am able to do this? And when the man believed, Christ said; according to your faith be it unto you” (Matthew 9:28).

The first and the only time Peter walked on top of the sea, Jesus used the words of faith to set him free by simply saying, “Come.” Many people who received healings and deliverance from Christ received them by faith. Many of them just believed that if they just touch his garment they would be healed, and that was what happened. In the days of trials during the great storm, he just said, “Peace be still!” When he met about five thousand hungry people, he just blessed five loaves of bread and two fish that was available and asked the disciples to share it to everybody.

Embracing God’s Word

Faith is believing and saying out what you believe. The word of God is God’s will that God has written to every Christian who believes in him. Satan has used ignorance to keep many people out of God’s provision. We must read, study, and apply the word of God rightly to enjoy God’s best for our lives.

I heard of a man in Chicago, USA, who almost died living in abject poverty. This man was in this situation for a very long time, yet a friend had left an estate for him worth 5 million dollars. He was ignorant of this, and of which bank to claim the money from until some people prevailed upon him to act – went to the bank and signed some documents. This ignorant man had always been rich, but he was denied of it because of ignorance. You are the next person in God’s list to be delivered from ignorance. If you are not born again, get born again by confessing your sins to God and forsaking them. Sin can take you out of God’s coverage area, and you can get fake blessings that are filled with sorrow. If you want God’s blessings without any sorrow in it, give your life to God and begin to live a holy life in Christ Jesus. Put your trust in God and believe him for a change, and you will be blessed tremendously.
