THE DECREE THAT CREATES ABUNDANCE

Change Poverty to Prosperity

There was a family in Israel that was very poor. Every member of that family was defeated by the spirit of poverty. All the people that were destined to be great in that particular family were reduced to nonentities by lack of every good thing. Their efforts were wasted. It was a terrible situation. No one believed that anybody could make it in that family any longer. But the reverse was the case when one young man was born into that family. His name was called Jabez because he was born in sorrow. In fact, looking at Jabez physically, nobody reckoned with him as somebody who could ever make it. But all of a sudden, he started saying some words of prayers. He called the God of Israel by saying, “Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed not like the ones you blessed my brethren.” – The blessing that comes and disappears. He prayed for real blessings indeed. He wanted God to enlarge his coast, and he did not just stop by wishing for the enlargement of his coast. He prayed earnestly for it. He needed God’s hand upon his life, and for God to keep him from evil. He desired it, and he was determined. He believed it, and he prayed seriously for it and that was exactly what God gave to him.

“And Jabez was more honorable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.”

(1 Chronicles 4:9, 10).

No condition is permanent no matter how poor, sick, or foolish you are. With God all things are possible. Prayer can destroy poverty in your life and replace it with prosperity. If you cry to God for a change, he can change your situation to favour you. Moses prayed to God to allow him to see the land of Canaan even though God said ‘no’ at that time. The voice of prayer never left God alone to rest.

“And I besought the LORD at that time, saying, O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might? I pray thee, let me go over, and see the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon. But the LORD was wroth with me for your sakes, and would not hear me: and the LORD said unto me, let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter.”

(Deuteronomy 3:23-26).

The Power of the Voice of Prayer

Because that voice of prayer came out of Moses’ mouth by faith, it was latter fulfilled. Moses died but that prayer never died. The prayer kept visiting God all the time for about 1, 500 years. One-day God called Moses and told Elijah to accompany him into that land so that the prayer that Moses prayed for over one thousand years could allow God to rest. Prayer is a very powerful weapon when they are prayed in faith. Once Christ is involved by using His name by faith, no prayer will go unanswered. When Christ came because he is the fulfilment of the law, God allowed Moses to see and step into the land of Canaan in the mount of transfiguration together with Elijah.

“And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, and was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.”

(Mathew 17:1-3).

Moving Mountains through Prayer of Faith

No group of soldiers in my any nation can arrest, detain or kill the prayer of faith. Prayers of faith cannot be confirmed in any grave.

Just pray it, and once it came out of your mouth in faith through the name of Jesus, no matter how long it takes, even after you might have died and gone to heaven, it will be answered. The Bible says that those who prayed and received answers in the past are not better than you. In fact, the main reason why you should pray is because some people you are better than have prayed and received answers. So, what are you waiting for? Just pray it and it will happen (James 5:14-18).

Look at Elijah, he prayed and closed the heavens for three years and six months. After, he appeared again and prayed, and the heavens opened and gave rain and the earth brought fruits. This is a man who was once afraid of a woman, and not just that he was afraid, he ran away and wished to die because of problems. The potency in prayer intimidates death and mocks the grave because prayer cannot submit to the grave even after the death of the person who prayed.
